This good looking giant cigar is my first ever non-cuban Partagas. First of all this maduro cigar has a mouth watering & consistent look as expected from a Partagas. When you touch it you feel the beautiful construction under the oily connecticut sun grown wrapper.

As i mentioned on my previous review, i spend some time at cold tasting. This cigar is too salty and peppery at cold tasting as i’ve never seen before. It was like i ate a table spoon of salt.

At the lit, cacao and spices comes out following intense hints of coffee on retrohale. First third, chocolate is dominating the smooth creamy smoke with some hints of nut. If you like chocolates, you may end up eating this cigar instead of smoking it.

As expected from a Partagas, this full body smoke is burning consistent and the draw is easy.
At the second third this smoking chocolate is getting hints of spice and earthy companied by a firm white ash.

The last third i got bored of smoking it and i couldn’t enjoy more because completely lost the intense of chocolate and invaded by bitter lime and more spice.

My overall score is lower than the other criterions because 2 hours is very long time to taste the same aroma for me. But hey, don’t expect to nub every cigar 🙂

For it’s price, it’s giving more than you pay for and i can say it’s a good after dinner cigar. I would definitely enjoy it more if i had it in smaller vitola.

Partagas Black Label serie is a good example of how they move the cuban quality construction to non-cuban cigars.

And it’s cheap.
