Prelight
Another review I read reminded me that I had a few of these tucked away in the old cigar humidor, but this one came from the staff at La Cohoba Magazine. It had a couple of soft spots and veins but nothing too bad with a light tobacco aroma.  It had an easy prelight and draw.

First third
Initial draws had a dry feel to the smoke with a very light tobacco flavor.  It was slightly bitter on the palate.  It also had a woody cedar flavor.  It had a Peppery, almost burning nose exhale.  The bitterness dissipates fairly quickly and leaves a smooth tobacco flavor on the palate with a slight nutty Earthiness to it.

Second third
It had a nice straight burn with an ample draw.  It was still light in body at this point with a straight forward tobacco flavor and a mild Coffee Creamy aftertaste.

Last third
Really picking up in body.  The flavor takes on a caramel aspect in both the smoke and the aftertaste.  It quickly went from light in body to medium or even medium full.  It Finished with pronounced chocolate notes.

Conclusion
This was a great smoke.  The construction was impeccable but the burn line was uneven at some points and It took quite some time for any real flavors to develop. It was a very different cigar from what I’m use to from the Romeo Y Julienta line, it had a lot of transitions and it is oone I recommend to have in your humidor.
